HostHum Privacy Policy

The short version: HostHum does not collect any personal data. It only connects to hosts you configure. No data is sent to 1507 Systems, no accounts, no telemetry.

1. Overview

HostHum is a macOS menu bar application for monitoring the availability of user-configured hosts, published by 1507 Systems (BPS Enterprises LLC). This privacy policy explains what data HostHum collects, stores, and transmits.

2. Data Not Collected

HostHum does not collect, store, or transmit:

Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
Device identifiers or fingerprints
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports or diagnostic data
Location data
Advertising identifiers
Host monitoring results or uptime data

3. Local Data Storage

HostHum stores the following data locally on your Mac:

Host configuration: URLs, display names, check intervals, and alert preferences for the hosts you configure are stored locally.
Monitoring history: Status check results and uptime history are stored locally and never transmitted off your device.

4. Network Connections

HostHum makes outbound network connections only to the hosts you explicitly configure for monitoring:

Purpose: Check host availability via HTTP/HTTPS requests
Data sent: Standard HTTP requests (no personal data, no identifiers)
Data received: HTTP response status codes
When: At the check intervals you configure

HostHum does not connect to any 1507 Systems servers. There are no update checks, no telemetry endpoints, no analytics services, no ad networks, and no tracking pixels.

5. No Accounts

HostHum does not require or offer account creation. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user registration of any kind.

6. Third-Party Services

HostHum has zero third-party dependencies that collect data. No analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no ad frameworks, no social media SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

HostHum does not collect data from any users, including children. The app does not require account creation or any personal information to function.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the effective date at the top will be changed. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
