Murmurate Privacy Policy

Murmurate is an open-source macOS clipboard manager published by 1507 Systems (BPS Enterprises LLC). This privacy policy explains what data Murmurate collects, stores, and transmits.

2. Data Not Collected

Murmurate does not collect, store, or transmit:

Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
Device identifiers or fingerprints
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports or diagnostic data
Location data
Clipboard content (beyond local storage for the app's core function)
Advertising identifiers

3. Local Data Storage

Murmurate stores clipboard history locally on your Mac. This data:

Never leaves your device
Is not transmitted over any network
Is not synced to any cloud service
Is stored only in the app's local data directory
Can be cleared at any time from within the app

4. Network Connections

Murmurate makes zero network connections. The app operates entirely offline. There are no update checks, no telemetry, no analytics, and no phone-home behavior of any kind.

5. No Accounts

Murmurate does not require or offer account creation. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user registration of any kind.

6. Third-Party Services

Murmurate has zero third-party dependencies that collect data. No analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no ad frameworks, no social media SDKs.

7. Open Source

Murmurate is open-source software. The source code is publicly available on GitHub, allowing anyone to verify these privacy claims independently.

8. Children's Privacy

Murmurate does not collect data from any users, including children. The app does not require account creation or any personal information to function.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the effective date at the top will be changed. Significant changes will be noted in the project's release notes on GitHub.
